David’s
vast experience in London’s West End theatres gained him the reputation
of one of London’s outstanding Musical Theatre talents. David’s
professional credits include: Alex Dillingham in Aspects of Love, Enjolras
in Les Miserables, Joseph in Joseph And His Technicoloured Dreamcoat, Tony
in Westside Story, Adam in Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, Curly in Oklahoma,
Billy in Carousel, Dominique in The Bakers Wife, Jeanne at The Saddlers Wells
Theatre, Nanki-Poo in the Mikado and many others.
David has been involved in many musical theatre concepts which involved: full
video workshops, original cast albums, readings, working as a performer and
a director. He has also worked closely with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really
Useful Company and Cameron MacIntosh Productions; he also starred in several
productions directed by the great Trevor Nunn – Royal Shakespeare Company.
David has played principals roles in Scottish Pantomimes at Pavilion Theatre
Glasgow (Snow White), The Kings Theatre Glasgow (Robin Hood) and at The Cottier
Theatre, Glasgow (Closer Than Ever). He has performed for many members of the
Royal Family: The Queen, Princess Margaret, Princess Diana, Sarah Ferguson,
King Hussein of Jordan and also for Heads of State and celebrities such as
Diana Ross, Prince and Mel Gibson.
David’s empirical knowledge of voice and performance technique has made him one of Scotland’s most sought after singing coaches for all genres of modern day singing, he is best described as ‘The leading expert on all contemporary singing of the natural voice’. He gained this reputation with his 25 years of vast experience and under the watchful eye of the late, great voice coach, Ian Adam. This combined with his powerful performance skills gives him the edge when teaching beginners or professionals searching for confidence and inspiration in their voice technique. Through his expert teaching and mentoring skills David has seen many of his students secure top London College Scholarships, recording contracts and achieve professional status within the Performing Arts Industry.
